Facsimiles include many from the first folio, or from contemporary works, both manuscript and printed

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound primarily in maroon morocco with marbled papers in the style of the Library bindery. Volume 1 bound as issued, but with a letter from Francis Horsfall to Thomas Pennant Barton, along with a prospectus for the set bound-in at the front. Bound-in with vol. 5 are pieces of manuscript correspondence between Halliwell-Phillipps and William Fairholt. The armorial bookplate of the Barton Library is present on the front pastedown of each volume. Vols. 1-9 contain limitation statements signed by both Halliwell-Phillipps and Adlard, all numbered as copy 110. The remainder are unsigned and unnumbered
